The "Craft" or "Wicca" Is a religious practice that is NOT condoned by the Church. And of course we DON'T adopt THEIR ways *humph! (the response you get if you asked) SO THEN why is the Dubuque, Ia Lay Ministry retreat required to participate in standing in a clearing with torches at 4-corners and led in a ritual known to the Wiccan world as "calling the corners"? |
| Maybe it's because the "BVM" that heads the formation preaches that the Bible is 90% pure myth. -and gets mad if you read the lives of the saints or follow a devotional path of some saint. Her written (!) complaint to me over my having made the consecration according to the method of St. Louis DeMontfort was to chastize me for not being "On fire for the word of God".... which she says is 90% made-up. |

Sister Carla and her Comrades Also teach that there is no REAL Hell or Demons etc... When it was pointed out, that the Church still trains Exorcists, so Demons must exist! She did a fast back-pedal and said (I have the audio tape): "Well, we think there MAY be spirits other than God, we think, we think there may be....." |
| Yes, I went thru Lay ministry and left it, and I am astounded & still sickened at sitting there and hearing the call to schizim speech one night and seeing the room applaud. I told her why "I'm leaving" and 3 weeks later get a letter asking "oh why did you leave- it was such a faith filled time". -this is called covering your ass. |

Of course I wrote to the Bishop and offered to send copies of the tapes and items to show what went on....... and got ZILCH response. |
| What astounded me later Was to have spouses of members come up to me and say their spouse would come home from the formation in tears over what they were expected to go along with. I would say "then quit". Oh but they can't cuz they want to serve the church! But when I'd point out: -this ain't "the church" -this is an apostate in charge -and the Diocese is too chicken to stop her (God knows why!?) They would counter with: "but I want to be a Lay Minister". Belos: "Then you care MORE about having a title attatched to your name, like it will make you "holy" than you really care about service to others. You are willing to lay down and let this be done to you in exchange for pride...that's being a whore. *call me suprised, but they would not talk to me about it after that.....funny, huh? |
